PAINT-DECORATED, PENNSYLVANIA SETTEE, RARE SALMON BACKGROUND, 1840-1860:

Paint decorated, half-spindle back settee of rural Pennsylvania origin, made circa 1840-1860.  Rare salmon background color, with hand-painted chrome yellow and mustard pinstriping and gilded fruit panels along its square crest rail.  A great example.
