Description:
Checker or chess gameboard, painted in chrome yellow and black; a wonderful, early example made from a single board and with molded edges applied with cut nails. American. Found in New England. Made ca 1840-1880. Excellent, original surface throughout.
Condition: There is a tight crack line along one edge that runs just slightly into the checkered grid. Overall excellent with only minor losses and expected wear.
