COLORFUL PAINTED SHEET METAL GAME WHEEL ON A SHAPED WOODEN FRAME WITH A NICKLE-PLATED SPINNER, “THE ALL-IN-ONE GAME,” MADE IN ST. LOUIS, circa 1890-1910
Dimensions (inches): 17.25" diameter
Description:
Red, black, white, and green game wheel with a horse head in the center beneath a large and elaborate, nickel-plated, removable spinner. Marked “patent applied for,” but undated, the wheel was produced sometime between 1890 and 1910. The imagery includes cards, dice, roulette, along with other numbers and symbols for use in games of chance. In the center, beneath the spinner, is a horse’s head. Colorful and unusual, this American gambling item was both found in St. Louis, Missouri, and actually made there by the "All-In-One Company." Called the “All-In-One Game,” it was designed as a mechanism for multiple betting games, including roulette, market, horse races, put & take, poker, chuck, hylo-hazard, bunco, and faro.

Condition: Cleaned and sealed. Some rust and minor loss. Very old insect damage on the reverse.
