Description: |
|
Homemade, three-color Parcheesi game board with a windsor green background, beautiful graphics, and outstanding painted surface with great craquelure. The simple color combination of pumpkin yellow and white is very attractive. Signed "J.A.B. Lowell, Mass. and made in roughly in the 2nd quarter of the 19th century, one can see that this is a slight variation on the standard format. Note, for example, the three curved spaces that border the center on each flank and join each perpendicular section, as well as the four double-spaces, one on each branch, and the odd dispersing of the special spaces within the order.
Condition: Untouched. |
