GAME WHEEL IN CHROME YELLOW PAINT WITH DECORATION REMINISCENT OF AMERICAN INDIAN ART, CHICAGO, 1910-20:
H.C. Evans, Chicago game wheel, chrome yellow, scarlet red and black paint, with decoration in an Art Noveau style, loosely based on American Indian arrows. ca 1910-1920.
Condition: Minor professional restoration was needed in small areas to mend the peeling paint surface. The entire surface was saturated with a new varnish to humidify and strengthen the surface. Care was taken to keep the finish at the same level of satin gloss. |
