YORK COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA DRY SINK IN A BEAUTIFUL FORM WITH PUTTY PAINT:

York County Pennsylvania dry sink, circa 1850-1870, with putty-colored paint over earlier green and salmon surfaces.  The form is very unusual, with turned, bun feet in the front and applied feet in the back that have a slight outward kick.  I have never before seen this unusual and stylish combination on a dry sink, but it is sometimes seen in rural York County furniture.  The high splash and overhanging drawer are also York County traits.  The well is lined with zink.  The overall proportions, color, form, and wear make it an outstanding example.

Condition:  One hinge broken out and moved.  Some paint loss from normal wear.
