Dimensions (inches): |
49.5" long w/ 3" diameter finial |
Description: |
|
This wonderful band master’s staff of the Civil War period is the only one I have been able to thus-far acquire, despite years of searching. With a beautiful and sculptural, brass, flatted mushroom cap displaying a federal eagle, and the typical crisscrossing cord and tassels, this is a great example of wartime production. Made of ash, at the bottom of a long, tapering, brass cap is a fine, acorn-shaped tip.
Condition: Original and exceptional. Minor wear to cord. |
