BUTTER STAMP WITH AMERICAN EAGLE MOTIF, MID-19TH CENTURY:
Wooden, chip-carved butter stamp, dating to the mid-19th century, displaying the image of an American eagle flanked by wheat sprays. The eagle's breast is covered by a patriotic shield with stripes only (no stars). Olive leaves and arrows are below where the talons would be. Made of maple and in fine condition.
