AFTER THOMAS COLE,
A COPY OF HIS WORK, ENTITLED:

"ADAM & EVE IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN"

This ca 1830-1860 oil on canvas, with both outstanding folk and academic qualities, is a copy of a work by Thomas Cole [English-born, American, Hudson River School Painter, 1801-1848].  The original work, painted in 1828, entitled Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, now resides at the Amon Carter Museum in Ft. Worth, Texas, which is home to the collection of Ima Hogg.  Original gilt frame.

Condition:  Cleaned and relined.
