MAINE APPLE-PICKING BASKET:

This highly unusual apple-picking basket is a Maine form, with a beautiful, weathered, leather shoulder strap and a wooden handle that serves no real purpose but for the comfort of the person who wore it.  The handle makes an excellent place to rest your arm.  The dry, red painted surface is outstanding, as-is the condition.  The only repair is to one of the rivets on the leather strap where it wraps around the splint.
