French Tricolor flag with strong, beautiful colors, possibly dating as early as WWI (French involvement 1914-1918), but probably dating to WWII (French involvement 1939-1945). Made of three lengths of wool bunting, the flag is pieced by machine. There is a twill weave cotton binding along the hoist with two white metal grommets.
Mounting: The flag has not yet been mounted. We employ professional staff with masters degrees in textile conservation and can attend to all of your mounting and framing needs.
Condition: There is very minor, scattered mothing, but the overall condition is excellent. |
