Description:
Wooden fraternal hourglass, found in the Pittsburgh area. This was part of either Masonic or Odd Fellows ceremonial, fraternal regalia. The turnings are exceptional; note the exaggerated, bulbous form with tiny waist and fine pillars. Made circa 1880-90. The silver and gold paint have great patina.
Condition: Expected wear.
